I find that the subject matter of my art is as diverse as the factors that influence it. The people and places I interact with on a daily basis are just as much of an influence as are the ever - changing bits of media I consume from cyberspace. However, I do tend to gravitate to bright colors, repeating patterns, and whimsical designs. This speaks to the fact that for me creating art cultivates a calm, happy, sometimes fantastical space in a chaotic, busy, stress-filled reality. For me, creating art is a small way I can give something beautiful to myself and the universe. 

A great majority of my work is created with watercolor, acrylic gouache, or pen & ink. In college, I developed a passion for the fiber arts - handmade paper, handmade books, and various types of weavings. While I do not work as frequently with 3D media these days I still have a passion for it and enjoy it immensely when creating with it. I also enjoy exploring new mediums and techniques. I think things are always worth trying at least once.
